Hey, I’m Deb Spence!
With a long history of volunteer service and community leadership, I have committed my career to making real estate development accessible for residents.
Through affordable training, mentorship, and funding opportunities, I equip people to build wealth, revitalize neighborhoods, and shape the future of Pottstown.
Why I started Jumpstart Pottstown
I grew up in the South Bronx, and I’ve been a real estate broker since 2015. I also lived in Germantown for seven years. Germantown is where Ken Weinstein started Jumpstart, which teaches everyday neighbors to buy and fix up the houses on their own blocks.
Montgomery County Treasurer Jason Salus urged me to bring that model to Pottstown. This town has that same chance right now. We have older homes that need work, empty lots ready to build on, and prices where a first-time developer can still get started. A lot of the towns around us have already priced regular people out. I started Jumpstart Pottstown so the people who live here can be the ones who buy, rehab, and own these properties, and so the wealth they build stays with Pottstown families.
